How to Impress a Recruiter in an Interview

October 4, 2016

There's a reason that so much career advice centers around the job interview: it's your one opportunity to make an impression in a face-to-face setting with the person who is standing between you and the whatever life goal you're hoping to achieve by landing the job. Regardless of that person's position, if they're part of the interview chain, they have the potential to make or break the process for you—so knowing how to impress them is a crucial part of the process, no matter how qualified for the position you happen to be.

In this video, from Atrium Staffing, several recruiters break down what they're looking for in a candidate during those face to face meetings. Check it out—it's 3 minutes that could make a world of difference the next time you have an interview.

  • Simone is easily the best recruiter I've had the pleasure to work with. After seeing me on extremely short notice, Simone continued to help me get in contact my current employer despite being out of the office on vacation at the time. On top of that, she made sure I got a congratulatory gift card from her on my first day of work. Thanks to Simone's professionalism and dedication, I quickly found a great job. I can't recommend her highly enough.
