How to Impress a Recruiter in an Interview

October 4, 2016

There's a reason that so much career advice centers around the job interview: it's your one opportunity to make an impression in a face-to-face setting with the person who is standing between you and the whatever life goal you're hoping to achieve by landing the job. Regardless of that person's position, if they're part of the interview chain, they have the potential to make or break the process for you—so knowing how to impress them is a crucial part of the process, no matter how qualified for the position you happen to be.

In this video, from Atrium Staffing, several recruiters break down what they're looking for in a candidate during those face to face meetings. Check it out—it's 3 minutes that could make a world of difference the next time you have an interview.

  • “After months of trying to land a position on my own, a friend referred me to Simone Green. I was apprehensive about working with an agency. However, after meeting Simone and discussing what I did and did not want in a new position, I wished that I had contacted her sooner. Simone was genuinely interested in helping me find not just a job, but the right job for me. I highly recommend Simone Green of CLS Legal Staffing.”
